About Me

My Work

I am just taking photos, not curing the big problems in life like cancer, hunger or anything else; so I try to not take my work too serious. Photography is what you make of it and I choose to make it my stress relief, not my job. You can choose to photograph the negative or the positive of anything in any location. Two people taking photos in the same place will come away with something completely different, because we are all unique. My work is simply an expression of my thoughts, mood and attention at the time I create an image...nothing more...nothing less.

Biography

First, I wish to ask who the heck is actually reading my biography and did you really find the "end of the internet" and land here? If so, then I welcome you my friend. My biography is simple, I am just a guy who loves photography because it forces my mind to focus on what is right, beautiful and good with the world. It is the re-calibration tool that brings me back to the proper perspectives in life.

I don't classify myself as an amateur or professional, just a photographer, period. I also do not care to discuss any pedigree or lack of it in my formal training because, well, who cares? Do you like the image I created or not? The process is pretty easy on your end of this. Simply take a look at my work...enjoy it if you can, click to the next website if you wish, but remember, this is just photography and it is almost always supposed to be fun.

  • “To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
    — Elliott Erwitt
  • “The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
    — Dorothea Lange

Ethics

I practice ethics in photography by making sure I never trespass or photograph where I don't have permission to be. When I leave a place, I makes sure it is as nice or nicer than when I arrived. I also never intentionally disturb wildlife and if I notice my actions bother an animal, I simply back off and don't take the image. I also try to make friends with other photographers I meet along the way. I have met some very kind photographers and some very competitive photographers. I tend to prefer the company the kinds ones while doing what I can to be kind myself.

Photography is growing all across the world and as more of us visit beautiful places, it is important to leave no trace and break no laws along the way. A few careless photographers in a sea of respectful ones can ruin a location quickly.
